Eisteddfod
Information
- The use of photocopied music for performance: NOT allowed other than
for page-turns
- All competitors supplied a photocopy of their piece for the
adjudicator at the commencement of each section. These copies were not
returned and were later destroyed.
- Accompanists: We did not provide accompanists on the day,
however we were happy to assist in organising and coordinating
accompanists.
- Open Marimba and Vibraphone: applicants chose one or two
pieces showing contrasting styles within the time limit.
- � Synergy donated a generous cash prize of $400 for the winner of
the Open Percussion Quartet.
- Many instruments were provided: Set of 4 Timpani, Marimbas,
Xylophones, Vibraphones, Glockenspiel, Bass Drum and most other large
instruments.
- The committee reserved the right to amend the programme and to vary
the order of competitors in any section.
- The adjudicators' decision was final and no correspondence was
entered into.
- If, due to unforeseen circumstances, an adjudicator is unable to
perform his or her duties, we reserved the right to appoint a substitute
without notice.
- Adjudicators were a selection of Australia's finest percussion
performers and teachers.
